Foundation Goals

Mobile Educational Training Center

In addition to raising breast cancer awareness, increasing breast health education and generating funding for critical breast health programs in our local community, we are also committed to several long term goals. As breast cancer diagnosis continues to increase in younger women in and around Rhode Island, one of the major objectives of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation is to develop a mobile educational training and information center. This mobile educational center will travel throughout our local community and serve as a training center for breast health issues, teach the importance of breast self exam and provide breast health information to anyone in need.

Mobile Mammography Unit

Many women in our local community are under-insured or have no health insurance. Because of this, these women are not getting annual mammograms. The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation is working to raise funding for a mobile mammography unit that will travel throughout our local community and provide mammograms for women in need. This will help to increase early detection and early detection saves lives.

Innovative Breast Cancer Detection Technology

Traditional mammography can sometimes fail to detect breast tumors. The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation is working to bring new and innovative mammography equipment to breast health centers and imaging centers throughout our local community.
