We have created 2 very inspirational songs that embody the spirit of the objective of our foundation. Below you can play a sample of these songs and purchase the MP3 or the CD for the full songs.

From time to time we receive letters, breast cancer stories, and poems related to breast cancer diagnosis, survivorship, and the loss of a loved one due to this horrific disease that reflect the feelings of people who have been affected by breast cancer. It is these stories that inspire us to continue to fight for a cure for breast cancer. Share your story, letter or poem with us and we will post it on our site for others to read.

Send your story, letter or poem to info@gloriagemma.org.

Remember…it’s your fight too!

In Loving Memory of Gloria Gemma

Our Hero

So tender and so gentle, as only she could be
For all that she believed in, as far as we could see
Was living life and having fun and don’t forget her love
For “angel” does describe her best along with her white dove.

She said to laugh and cry with joy, and don’t forget to sing
All the songs she’d taught us, like the wind beneath my wings.
That was her favorite song you know, so sing it out my dear
But don’t regret that she is gone, she hears you loud and clear!

Today we learned what hero means, she’d be so very proud
To see her name so brightly lit from atop her great white cloud.
She watches closely over us and guides us through each day
So please remember Gloria, each and every time you pray!

Not one of us would disagree, she left us way to soon
The only time we see her now is through the big bright moon.
Her legacy lives on today and those who knew her boast
That life and love and laughter too, are what she loved the most.

On a Wing and a Prayer

I’ll never forget that fateful day
When I heard the doctors say
We have bad news, the tests are in
I suddenly lost my happy grin.

They said don’t fret, but to no avail
We will get through this..we will not fail
There is no choice, we must stand tall
And beat this thing, once and for all

Three months have passed and I am weak
My body tired, my soul so bleak
I will get through this that I know
But at this moment, it does not show

I want to rest my weary fears
And pretend for a moment that I don’t care
To carry them all through the day
Just makes it harder…please go away

Four months have passed and I am bright
My cheery soul shines through the night
I think I’ve beat this monsters grip
My strength and courage, I came equipped

Today’s the day they’ll tell me so
You’ve beat this thing…one month to go
Let’s sing and dance the night away
I’m happy now…so won’t you stay

I always knew right from the start
I would prevail…for I’ve got heart
They said don’t fret…what did they know
I had to prove it was my show

I fought this beast and now I’ve won
Thank you mommy…said my son
I don’t know what I would have done
For it was all or merely none

I' ve shown such strength and through it all
I never wavered, I stood so tall
I made it through, from there to here
All because of a wing and a prayer

OCEAN of MEMORIES
WHY DO YOU CRY MY DEAR?

How is it,
That in so many years,
You can produce so many tears?
The years, tears, and fears we feel,
Show all the nonsense and care you shared.
The fear and despair at your departing,
Bring laments of anguishing memories.
And remembering your vitality as we stand here,
Looking into the gradiance of blue,
Brings us Joy, Openness, and Depression so strong.
But your strength showed us love and brought us tears,
And we returned with doves and clouds of memories.
As you departed,
We watched the pillows of waves,
Carry you away from the day.
Why is it that we blame,
When it is he who came?
As we pray for your entrance and forgiveness,
As we receive waves of tears,
You protect us with your rays.
Our cares,
Forever we share,
Shall leave our footprints in the sands,
Until we are all together again.
The horizon of life and death,
Is like the ships upon it,
So near,
But ever so far.
As long as we embrace with hugs and tears,
We will be forever connected,
As the far becomes near.
As we stand in the footprints of life,
We watch the waves of tears,
And wash away our fears.
This is the Ocean of Memories,
Not of tears,
So cry not,
And remember the ones who care.
It was the lord who said,
We are a vapor,
Thee appeareth for a little time,
And then vanisheth away.
Our tears bring fears and cares,
While our memories tear the fears,
But our memories can never be destroyed,
These are the waves of tears that we share,
That will never break us apart.

Cancer Faith

Cancer may come unexpectedly into your life,
Bringing fear, hard times, and great strife.

Families suffer and the end clearly unknown.
Families are stronger than ever and not alone.

Our personalities must stay optimistic,
Feeling better and free will be realistic.

The experience could be a long, hard ride,
Twists and turns in which you have cried.

When you fight and beat it and go on to live,
Don't forget the people who are here to give.

Love and care will forever and always stay.
Cancer will be knocked out of the way.

Your soul is and will be stronger than this;
It can conquer cancer, destroy and dismiss.

Courage and memories are very much needed,
As tiring treatments have faithfully succeeded.

Friendship, family, and faith cannot be suppressed;
They are the loving souls that make you blessed.

When my love-filled Mom became a cancer survivor,
I soon realized that I was an underwater diver.

You dive in but you never know what is there for you,
It could be your worst experience or the very best view.
