When women and men are diagnosed with breast cancer, they need information, support and resources to assist them in coping with this disease.  Often times, they need help finding the strength to endure their journey through cancer treatment.

In 2007, The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource & Wellness Center was established in an effort to provide support, comfort and help to breast cancer patients and their families.  The center offers healing programs, meditation, creative art and music programs, support groups, lectures and more.

In addition, the Center provides access to education on any topic related to breast cancer, as well as medical reference books, books available for loan, informational DVD’s, and information relative to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, clinical research, symptom management, nutrition, spirituality, and life after breast cancer.

Gidget’s Corner™

A diagnosis of breast cancer affects all family members, especially children.  Often times, children need help learning to cope with this disease.

Gidget’s Corner was created in memory of Gidget Mulcahey, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2008.   Gidget was spirited and lively and loved to have fun.   Gidget’s Corner was established to help children of all ages learn about breast cancer, what it means to them, and how to cope with this disease.   Through literacy, interactive discussion and play, children learn how they can help, comfort and support Mom during her journey with breast cancer.

Gidget’s Corner is open Monday through Friday from 10AM to 5PM and is also available for parents who need secure daycare during support sessions, programs or lectures.
