The mission of The Bone Marrow Foundation is to improve the quality of life for bone marrow and stem cell transplant patients and their families by providing financial aid, education and emotional support. The Foundation was created in 1992 to respond to the critical gap in financial coverage for patient support services. The Patient Aid Program has assisted hundreds of patients with the cost of donor searches, compatibility testing, bone marrow harvesting, medications, home and child care services, medical equipment, transportation, cord blood banking, and housing expenses associated with the transplant. The Foundation currently accepts applications for aid from bone marrow transplant centers throughout the United States.

To fulfill the growing need for information and support to patients and their families, the Foundation established the Marie M. Reynolds Resource and Educational Center. The objectives of the Center are to provide immediate, accessible information in a convenient format to bone marrow and stem cell transplant patients, their families and the clinicians who provide for their care. The Center also seeks to provide support and encouragement to patients and families dealing with the challenge of a life-threatening disease.

The Bone Marrow Foundation is about individuals undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, their families, friends and the health care team that work with them. The Foundation staff is here to make their lives better. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to get involved with the Foundation.
