This doll is used to demonstrate to a patient the pre-surgical anatomy, the actual procedure, and the post-operative anatomy.

Vicky is designed to demonstrate the pedicle tram procedure, the free tram flap procedure, the Latissimus Dorsi procedure as well as the Mastectomy Implant.

Living through breast cancer is not something patients get over - it's something they have to find a new way to live with. Vicky will help your patients come to terms with what lies ahead in a better way, and decide what option fits them best.

The idea for this doll began when I was diagnosed with D.C.I.S. As part of my treatment, I underwent a surgical procedure for my disease. Through my struggles and curiosities, I found that there was a need for better patient education tools for those diagnosed with breast cancer.

With support and guidance from my breast surgeon as well as my plastic surgeon Vicky is very detailed in how the surgical procedures are shown on her. Vicky has been shown around the world as well as at the National Consortium of breast centers conferences since 2000. I designed and personally created a "patient education doll" known as Vicky Victorious™.
