Happy Heads

Happy Heads was created when one of a group of three friends was undergoing cancer treatment. At that time, she was unhappy with the hair covering options available to her. A good friend and talented seamstress came to her rescue and designed the Happy Head Wraps. Inspired by how well the headwraps worked and how beautiful they looked, they were joined by a third friend to run the business.

Raquel Schnitzer was a regular customer of Happy Heads. She covers her hair for religious reasons. The headwraps allowed her to chase after her toddler, make dinner and not worry about her head covering falling off. And, she felt so pretty wearing it.

When Raquel learned that the original owners were closing down the company, she asked if they would be interested in selling. They were and a deal was done.

Raquel was joined in the business by her mother, Ellen Daigle. As the owner of Ellen's Silkscreening (www.ellenssilkscreening.com), Ellen has a long history of successful businesswoman. She serves as business advisor to Happy Heads. Joining them is grandmother, Shirley Saland. Her keen eye for fashion and fabric helps to continue the legacy of gorgeous headwraps for Happy Heads. Finally, sister and professional photographer Diana Koenigsberg (www.dianakoenigsberg.com) took all the pictures for the website.

Three wonderful women began the company and a three-generational trio is continuing with their legacy.

Happy Heads is an intricate partnership of finely woven bonds of friendship and family. It seeks to honor the courageous spirit of women everywhere who pull themselves through challenging times with dignity and grace.
