MaryEllen Locher Foundation® scholarship fund is a national fund established in 2002 by a mother and Breast Cancer survivor who once worried about her own child's education. MaryEllen Locher Foundation® provides scholarships for secondary education especially to children who have lost a parent to breast cancer and children of breast cancer survivors.

One in eight women will be diagnosed each year with breast cancer, and 40% of those diagnosed will die within ten years. The fastest growing population of breast cancer patients is now women under forty years of age, many with young children. These children are the walking wounded; innocent victims in this battle being fought in the heart of 's families.

This unique scholarship fund is designed to lift the financial and emotional burdens faced by this growing number of children in our country.

Our primary goal is to provide scholarships to college students in the through individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and private grants.
